Silver Success for Netley Mill
23 April 2008

The project team successfully delivered this £2.5M pesticide removal scheme comprising 6 No GAC filters for Thames Water against a backdrop of strong local residents’ resistance and successfully meeting a tight DWI deadline.

The team’s efforts in managing the local residents, ensuring the safety of local school children and providing ‘excellent’ initiatives to prevent water pollution in the local river were recognised in the Considerate Constructors citation, which described the project as ‘exceptionally well managed’  and which ‘presented a very positive image of the industry in a delicate situation’.

Adrian Jack, our Thames Water client, said  ‘The attitude and actions of the team ensured that the residents' concerns were actively sought, listened to and addressed which ensured the smooth running of the programme’.
