Investors in People
Biwater values its employees and fully supports the Investor in People standard. We first received accreditation in January 2002 followed by re-accreditation in April 2005 and May 2008. The adoption of this scheme will continue well in to the future.

Leadership and Management Development
To ensure that the management team have the right skills and capabilities for their role, Biwater has invested in a Leadership and Management Development course. This provides managers with the ability to drive the company forward into a secure position for growth and investment.

Options – Total Rewards Scheme
Our “Options” scheme, in collaboration with Motivano, has been introduced to all employees. The scheme introduces the concept of ‘Total Reward’ which means that employees can view on the internet their total benefits package including salary, pension and annual leave. With the Options scheme employees now have access to an array of discounts that will benefit them and their family during leisure time.  This includes Salary Sacrifice where employees can give up part of their salary in exchange for Biwater providing a non-cash benefit. Savings can be made on National Insurance contributions and also, in some cases, employee income tax. The salary can be sacrificed in exchange for bikes for work, child care vouchers, additional holiday purchase and/or charity donations. An additional advantage of the scheme are the special offers available, through Motivano, on a variety of companies including gym memberships, high street vouchers, holidays, family excursions and train/ ferry travel.

By implementing these schemes Biwater Treatment have shown the importance of the wellbeing of their employees.
