Corporate Responsibility is about how organisations align their values and behaviour with the expectations and needs of their stakeholders. At Biwater we believe in the core ethos of sustainability; our business has a heritage founded on the principles of providing improvements to the environment. With corporate responsibility at the top of many of our clients’ agendas we feel that we can nurture and provide assistance to help them meet their own goals.
At Biwater we take Corporate Responsibility seriously. Our mission is to engage and advance our staff and stakeholder partners towards a sustainable future. We will behave responsibly and continually improve in all our activities within the Workplace, the Marketplace, the Environment and Communities. These are the four core elements are specific to our business and underpin everything that we do. We are very proud of our achievements and our continual improvement.
Our Corporate Responsibility Policy is broken down into the four elements of:
Workplace
- 'The Place to Work'
;
Environment - 'Striving Towards Carbon Neutrality';
Marketplace - 'The Contractor of Choice'; and
Communities - 'A Valued Contributor to the Local Community'.
Under each of these titles we have made some great achievements which highlight Biwater’s commitment to Corporate Responsibility. Our Corporate Responsibility Achievements Report 2008/9 shows our development over the year and best practice case studies are available on the individual key area pages. Our first Achievements Report covered 2007/8.
We strive to provide a company that people are proud to work for, recognising the importance of sustainability and showing respect for the communities in which we work.
