Graduates

After working hard to attain your degree you deserve the best possible start in your career and at Biwater that’s exactly what you get.

We take both your professional and personal development very seriously.  On joining the company you will be eligible to join our engineer’s rotation scheme which is accredited by many of the professional institutions, IMechE, IChemE, ICE, IStructE, ICEE and CIWEM.

Your own development programme will be based around the specific requirements of the relevant professional institutions and are designed to give you a thorough understanding, not only of your chosen discipline but also of the other core disciplines throughout the company.

As a graduate you will be assigned your own mentor to guide and advise you throughout the programme and you will also have a hand in the design of your own training plan to meet your individual needs.

Undergraduates

If you are still studying for an accredited degree in one of our core disciplines and haven’t yet finalised your career plans we offer a wide range of undergraduate options including sponsorship, industrial placements and summer placements.

With such a placement you will have the opportunity to gain valuable first hand experience of our operations and should you perform well during your time with us you will be given preference when the time comes to apply for a full time graduate position.

I joined Biwater Treatment on the Graduate Rotation Scheme having gained an MSc in Pollution and Environmental Control. The rotation scheme meant that over the next year and a half I gained an insight into a variety of aspects of the business. I worked on the development of projects, as an assistant process scientist aiding in the design of treatment works and even as an on-site chemist carrying out various performance tests to ensure that the works met the required standards.
