Improvements to the existing WwTW at Atherstone were required in order to meet the new effluent consent figures, which became enforceable in 2002.  The new works incorporated an Activated Sludge Plant and processes a maximum treatment flow rate of 76.6 litres per second.

 

This project included:

 

The manufacture, delivery, erection, installation, commissioning and testing of all process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation and control plant associated with the construction of the plant. The new plant comprises the following: 

 

- Activated Sludge Plant

- Final Settlement Tanks

- Return Activated Sludge Pumping Station

- Surplus Activated Sludge Pumping Station

- Washwater  Pumping Station
